ECU Considerations...
Now that I've got the car. It's time to consider upgrades. First thing I wanna consider is an ECU upgrade. I've heard of the below:
1. Apexi PowerFC
2. Hondata S100, S200, S300
3. AEM Plug and Play EMS
4. Greddy Emanage Ultimate
What are your thoughts on the above, which would you give serious thought to and why?
I'm kinda leaning towards the PowerFC and Hondata S300 units.

Re: ECU Considerations...
Do not exclude the Hydra Nemesis EMS. It is a little price and in the range of the Autronic and AEM and very powerful to the PFC, depending on your needs.
New XRT HYDRA Nemesis 2.6 Release
I think at the end of the day which makes an EMS important are your needs and support. Support tops it the most. I support Barbados as a Hydra EMS Dealer/Tuner
Models supported are:-
Acura
92-95 Integra
96-99 Integra
00-01 Integra
02-04 Integra / RSX *
02-04 Integra / RSX Type S*
91-94 NSX
Honda
92-95 Civic / Del Sol
96-98 Civic / Del Sol
99-00 Civic
01-02 Civic
02-03 Civic Si
92-95 Prelude
96-01 Prelude
00-03 S2000
*Working Multiplex Coolant gauge and AC, Closed loop i-VTEC/VVT-i by Crank degrees
I seem many times person pay alot in engine design and performance, but installed EMS's just capable of running them. Many times the stock ecu's are way powerful than the EMS.
What most should look for in an EMS, is the ability to have an EMS that can serve both road and race going. in other words, the EMS have the capability to run both without have to change maps often. This can only come about through map resolution, accuracy and speed.
I do hope that I did not have a selling pitch, but just wanted to make other aware of some of the important factors when looking into an EMS for Road and heavy street usage.

Re: ECU Considerations...
The hondata units are pretty good. I'm not a fan of the powerfcs because they ignore certain sensors, and will most often only let you know your engine has a problem after you've knocked it. The hondata units allow me to use custom maps for street / track, plus allowing me to retain the oem diagnostic capabilities of the stock ecu. Remember the hondata units are installed into the stock ecu!

Re: ECU Considerations...
I saw some software views. Quite interesting to say the least.
On the matter of sensors, thats why the unit is cheap. The PFC desires a lot as an EMS for the street car.
